When
all time is joined as one,
We pause to think of what
was done,
Remembrance Day, a day we’ve
cried,
A silence pure for those
who’ve died.
For it is war that brings
our tears,
The wars that cost us all
those years,
Although in times of distant
strife,
We still regret this waste
of life.
We shed our tears and bring
to mind,
The peaceful life they’ve
left behind,
But in the bright November
sun,
We can’t forget what wrongs
were done.
They live on in our hearts and minds,
Grief truly is, the tie
that binds,
And so we stand here, all
as one,
And realise, no wars were
won.
They died in honour and in
pride,
Don’t let their memory be
denied,
So stand in silence with
your peers,
And wash their gravestones
with your tears.
