Regret

I walk into a table,
As she passes in the hall,
It’s not that I don’t understand,
But I tried not to fall.

They’ve told me she’s not angry,
That I should just move on,
But I know I can’t continue,
When I’ve done so much wrong.

They say that I should leave her,
Much happier without me,
But I can’t go without an end,
If I can’t make her see.

Don’t want to spend my time alone,
Lost here, bathing in regret,
I just want to be her friend,
And not make her so upset.
